PT-141, or bremelanotide, came out of melanotan research and took a different road: instead of pigment, the literature studies it on the MC4R pathway and central signalling models. It is a receptor-binding compound and the papers treat it as such. Supplied lyophilized in a 10 mg vial with a plain lot label, HPLC and mass spectrometry per lot.
